To have one’s orange and juice it too
Sometimes you don’t need words to portray a difficult message. Sometimes its all in a name.
Vulcana is a name that needs no introduction and her children The Crash Collective can tell a tale without the need of words.
I was invited to take photographs of these acrobatic women; a flying, death defying, nail-biting performance of giant kinetic sculpture, haphazard sounds all for the juice of an orange.
When I juice my oranges I like to play it safe – a moulded plastic juicing device and container to catch the extracted juice. Simple, right? Well, there is simple and then there is The Crash Collective way.
Juice as the name suggests takes the ordinary task of juicing an orange, mixes it up with some very talented circus performers, a well executed soundscape and an all-women powered Rube Goldberg machine to deliver sweet nectar.
