Dizzygotheca at the Zoo
Dizygotheca named after the finely textured and sawtooth leaves of the tropical plant Dizygotheca Elegantissima, launched their EP ‘A little closer to the truth’ at the Zoo Saturday 19 September 2009.
Their music, like the plant has lots of jagged synthy edges, organic vocals and dark atmospheric beats. On stage Heidi is the earth, while Anthony the heat, a combination that allows their music to grow, bloom and flower.
If you’re into the sounds of Goldfrapp or Portishead and need something to help you laze around in the tropical heat, then you should buy their album.
